Nakis Tastsioglou @ Deloudis Contemporary Design
November 2011

John Deloudis Contemporary Design, the company that first introduced contemporary Italian furniture in Greece, has sought from the outset to combine good taste and elegance with a pioneering outlook. Known for its sensitivity towards art, this September the company embarks on a creative collaboration with Medusa Art Gallery and the sculptor Nakis Tastsioglou.

An artist with a strong presence on the Greek and international art scene, Tastsioglou exhibits twelve iron and Plexiglas sculptures in the company’s store at 227, Kifissias Avenue in Maroussi. These abstract works with their austere geometric lines, their poetic aura and their Doric grace coexist in complete harmony with the furniture and objects by distinguished designers and firms to reveal a perfect blend between sculpture and design. With this joint project, the Deloudis company and Maria Demetriades of Medusa Art Gallery put forward a new approach to home interiors as places where the everyday coexists with artistic imagination and sophisticated aesthetics.

Nakis Tastsioglou has had nine solo exhibitions in Greece and Italy and has participated in major exhibitions abroad, including the Venice Biennale in 1995 and the 2001 Biennale in the United Arab Emorates, where he won a sculpture award.
